On February 29th, 2020, the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency (CCAA) in cooperation with the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences organized a workshop “The European UAS regulation”. Due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation, the workshop was held virtually, and the video can be viewed on the official Youtube channel of the CCAA on this link.
As this is an important topic for the ORKAN project and impacts the project activities, some members of the project team virtually attended the workshop. Unmanned aerial vehicle operations in Croatia have been regulated by national regulations since 2015, and as of 1st July 2020, the European Regulation governing drone operations will come into force. This Regulation shall apply at European Union level.
A new Regulation laying down detailed provisions for the operation of unmanned aircraft systems, as well as for personnel, including remote pilots and organizations involved in the operation of these systems, is available on this link.
The Regulation laying down requirements for the design and manufacture of unmanned aerial vehicle systems (“UAS”) intended to operate under the rules and conditions of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947 and the design and manufacture of remote identification accessories can be found on this link.
