On Monday,the 28th of March, 2022, at the training ground in Črešnjevo, the first of three experiments was held with the aim of testing the equipment that will be used for research activities on the ORKAN project.
Team members tested battery-connected sensors that simulated drones to determine at what distance the intruder drone’s control cellphone signal was being registered. The conclusions of this experiment were as follows: the GPS module is slower than the mobile phone because it does not connect over the Internet, which means that in the future the team must find a way to achieve signaling when the WiFi signal is lost. As part of the experiment, a short work meeting was held for the purpose of discussing and planning further project activities.
