Project „ORKAN – Unmanned aerial vehicle policy ecosystem“ was presented at the 33rd “Central European Conference on Information and Intelligent Systems” – CECIIS 2022 through research papers presentation, a work meeting, and project pitching.
CECIIS 2022 was held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, 21-23 September 2022. The conference was organized by the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Zagreb (FOI) in cooperation with EDEN Digital Learning Europe, Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek and the University of Dubrovnik. This year’s conference theme was „Smart Industry in post-Covid-19 society“.
On Thursday, 22nd of September 2022, a member of the ORKAN research group, Asst. Prof. Boris Tomaš, Ph.D. presented the results achieved in the first two implementation periods of the project, through the activity “project pitch”, which was attended by the leaders and members of the research groups of national and international projects. After the project presentation, those present had the opportunity for questions, discussion, and networking for the purpose of future cooperation.
On Friday, 23rd of September, 2022, ORKAN project leader, Prof. Neven Vrček, Ph.D., held a project meeting for members of the ORKAN project team to discuss upcoming activities in the final phase of the project! In the third and final phase, the main focus will be on testing different drone constellation models through carefully prepared experiments performed by the project team.
During the CECIIS 2022 conference, members of the project team from FOI also presented research works prepared during the second project phase: „Localization of drone operator using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles: Preliminary research“ – Assoc.
