On Friday, 21st of October, 2022., the first experiment of the third project phase of the project „ORKAN – Unmanned aerial vehicle policy ecosystem“ was held.
The experiment was held at the Stadium Sloboda Varaždin, with the aim to determine GPS signal lock duration and compare two cases: on UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, drone) and off UAV to determine potential UAV interference with equipment. It was found that the potential source of interference is the drone itself, specifically its communication and control technologies in the electromagnetic spectrum.
The experiment was conducted by ORKAN project leader, Prof. Neven Vrček, Ph.D., members of the project team: Asst. Prof. Boris Tomaš, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Ivan Magdalenić, Ph.D., Elvis Popović, M. Inf. and students/young researchers from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Zagreb (FOI) who are included in ORKAN project activities: Mislav Matijević, Bacc. Inf. And Lovro Posarić, Bacc. Inf.
